I agree Blur. I really think we need to see how this all bolts up on the engine. If I wasn't moving here next week and being in school for the next year then hell, I already have the funding 3x over for this, if it looked capable then shoot I would put down the funding for it, but I won't have any time to work on it for the next year. I talked to Vince and he said if we can get it on the car then he would be able to tune it like he did the STS car.

What if we got the piggy-back ECU idea and then talked LPE into pushing out their kit? CAPA's prices seem good, I just don't want their fuel system/washer bottle if I don't need it.

Well, Scott, the rep from Capa, said to let him know what we needed to make it work....so I'm thinking we don't need to buy certain things.

Let me know if you want a hand turning wrenches when you get down to Ft Sam. The drive isn't that bad and I'd love to see one of these get installed. It doesn't look that bad, although I'd probably nix the soft air hose to the supercharger as it looks like a dryer hose to me.
Are you thinking that with Vince doing his thing plus the piggy-back it should be in business or are you just planning on doing one or the other? Paul |

It sounds like Doc may be willing to be the guinea pig.
They need to do something soon or mine may be bottle-fed. I saw the post where a 12.7 was put out on one of these with the juice. |

Couldnt you just buy the V-2 SQ supercharger from Summit for $2100, have a local machine shop make your bracket, and call Trifecta up for some tuning? I think if you call Vortec or Procharger they are willing to help select a supercharger if your providing tuning.
http://www.summitracing.com/search/?keyword=v-2+supercharger&Ns=Price|Asc It looks like no intercooler is needed from the way its shown in the picture. |

I know for a fact that Procharger is willing to help "size" the right SC for any car. I inquired online for their brocures and a rep called me without me requesting it and asked what my application of interest was. I told her about our cars and she said if I wanted to move forward just to give her a call back and she would get me in touch with one of their guys who could help me out. I have the paperwork on it somewhere here. Let me look around some tonight and see if I can unearth some info. I would think that Vortec would be willing to do the same.
If someone is going to do a custom kit they should talk with others on here and try to plan a "group kit" with Trifecta and work out some discount tuning if we all run the same setup. The Vortec with a custom bracket would be the cheapest / simplest because we could have a machine shop do a run of say 10 brackets for everyone that wants one to get the cost down. Heck, even if you didn't want to do the kit right away, buy the bracket and then your good to go down the road. From the CAPA site it says to use the V-2 supercharger that turns CCW. I can draw up the bracket in AutoCAD if someone helps me with the bolt pattern of the V-2 supercharger and the LLT. A guy I went to school with does quite a bit of custom machine design and could price out the brackets for a limited run of 10pc if we get people interested. I probably wont do the SC right away but would be interested in buying a bracket for down the road. Last edited by CAMAR0; 06-29-2010 at 08:28 PM. Reason: typo |

Yeah you guys are right. I will def be in school with not much time to work on anything with the car.....such a bummer! My "old' next door neighbor used to build engines and custom setups in Fayetville, NC and said that it would be easy with the right tooling to build a twin turbo setup utilizing smaller turbos to cut out any lag. He also said that by placing a small turbo per head side it would make the tuning easier and place less stress on the engine. So either way for me I am stuck for another year of doing nothing to the car! BLAH!
