Yeah, from what I hear from Videos, Flowmaster exhaust doesnt sound any different than stock one, but it could be different case if i hear it in person.

MRT I hear has a lot of love for being loud

my ls3 sounds real nice with the american thunder system.....way better sound than stock.

start and idle lets you know that the car has some ponies under the hood.....and above 2500 rpms it really growls! i have had many compliments on how good my car sounds. its definately not the loudest out there but if want a combination of good throaty sound under throttle and still be able to hear your self think inside the car at cruising speeds then this is a good choice.

i cant access my youtube account here at work or i would post the short vids i have up with my car revving. if you search for it mine is inferno orange and its a vid from the back of the car.

hope this helps

Agreed! It sounds much better than stock. I just switched over to the ATs today from the Pype Bombs and albeit they are quieter than the Pype Bombs they are much deeper, smoother and yes louder than stock. I videoed all three.

The Pype Bombs were loud and I liked the sound. Didn't mind the drone at all, I like drone. However my wife hated it and she put the big down payment on her so they had to go. I haven't heard any serious drone with the ATs but let this be a lesson to those who dont already know this.......dont get married!!!!

I heard one members with the flowmasters and new high flow cats. That car sounded like a old v8 at Idle, sounded really nice! Flow only sounds good also, you do have to hear them in person as the vid's sound to raspy and tend to capture the highs and not the lows.

i have the AT exhaust and i thought it sounded great. Not long after that i added an intake and it seemed like it opened it wide open. With the intake its much louder and deeper. So add an intake then see how you like it so you dont throw away all that money haha

So, are you saying that you no longer like the sound with the air intake and Flowmasters, or were you suggesting to just try the air intake first?

Just from my own experience, I added the intake first and with the intake the car had a really nice "growl" to it. Never tried the exhaust without the intake.

With the Pype Bombs, the growl from the intake became insignificant. With the ATs the growl has returned and it seems like at ascending RPMs the exhaust is making its usual deep toned sound as it gets into the slightly higher RPMs the growl becomes more obvious from the intake and is just and overall nice sound.
