Help! Need front camber!!!
Just got my car back from mechanic! I got BMR trailing arms, toe rods, 1" inch lowering springs, sways and all the bushings installed! I was told that I need a camber kit for 2 degrees of camber??? My front left is at -2.4 and my right is -3.1! Any suggestions? I am in no way a suspension expert! LOL!

Does the numbers even sound right? Meaning, does my mechanic even know what he's doing? LOL

The lowering springs have effected your camber and toe.
There are bolts that go into the the top hole of the strut that will get you the 2 degrees and get you in spec. |

Are you telling me I can get the 2 degrees without a camber kit?

yup.
Here's a link for an example. These are 3 degree bolts and will definitely provide a solution. http://www.spohn.net/shop/2010-Chevr...ontiac-G8.html |

Find a alignment shop that knows, there should be more than enough adjustment to get the camber within specs.

We've been aligning these cars for street AND track use and haven't run into a car yet we can't get within spec. Now caster..... That's another story! ;-)

-3 degrees seems like a pretty extreme camber gain out of only a 1" drop. There should be plenty of adjustment capabilities the stock camber bolts to account for a slight drop. Here is a link to our alignment specs, we've found they work very well for these cars. The Performance Street alignment should be possible with the stock hardware on a car that hasn't been damaged in another way.

So... If I buy the $40 camber bolts, will these solve my problem?

I forget the size but its a metric bolt that is required, you technically only need one for the alignment, and any decent hardware store or alignment shop should have them. I'll see if i can find out what the size is. Thanks Mike Haddad |
