Remote Start

So the 2LT comes with a remote start if you get an automatic. Of course if you can't drive stick, you shouldn't be buying this car, but ANYWAY... shouldn't the stick 2LT be cheaper than the automatic since it doesn't come with the starter?

Or better yet, why not put the starter in the stick too. There are sensors everywhere, the car KNOWS when it's in neutral. The chances of a manual with a properly installed remote starter driving itself down the street are about the same as an automatic doing that.... NILL. And I sure would like jumping into a warm car in the morning.

It would be $995-$1195 cheaper as that is the cost of the optional automatic transmission. (I've seen both prices for the auto option listed, not sure which is correct).

I've seen two prices on this also. Can someone clear this up hopefully?

$995
or
$665 for the auto trans.

I think the 665 is for the V6 and the 995 for the V8. It is not the same transmission on both cars. The V8 is alot heavier duty.

I still say the manual should have an additional discount for the lack of remote start.

Yeah but. The remote start is part of that package. But you only get it if you add an automatic transmission, So if you stick with the manual, like a sports car buyer should, wheres the discount for not getting it?

Also how come no one has commented on my idea that they should put it in the manuals too?

The auto in the V6 car is slightly more expensive than the auto in the V8 car last time I'd heard/read...don't ask me why...

This seems a bit diabolical, but maybe they figure SS buyers will be more likely to go for the manual, and V6 buyers will probably prefer an auto anyway, so they can charge more for it and still get a good take rate.
