Any opinions on the Escort Passport 9500iX radar detector?

I just bought one and have been using it for about a week now. For what I paid for it I was hoping to be a it more overwhelmed. Instead I'm just sort of "meh."

It certainly can ID the doors on a Wallgreens store.

Anyone else with a similar experience or opinion?

I've had mine for about a year now. On the highway, it works flawlessly. I drive back and forth from Texas to Kentucky a few times a year and average over 90 mph on each trip. I usually get a good mile warning.

Now about town, it,s not as accurate, but not too shabby either. Use the learning feature to lock out Wallgreens and other stores in your area and then it will normally only go off for radar. I probably mark something daily.

It takes a while as DFWHD stated.....I've had mine for a little over a year.....and I love it. ALSO, one of the features allows you to to lock out X signals, there are very few departments that use that frequency anymore, which is what sets off a lot of falses around town.

Thanks guys. Sounds like a fine wine analogy. It gets better with time.

I really like mine. I get warnings on the highway 4 miles away sometimes.

I don't get a lot of false signals on mine, but I mainly use it for travel and not city driving.

Edit: I should say that the times I have used it in city driving the false signals were still low to non-existent.

About 5 months with mine. Love it. Compared to my old Cobra it's the incredible.

It blocks out false signals automatically after the 3rd false alarm so drive it around on your usual routes for 2-3 weeks in town and it should be silent except for cops. They never turn off their radar around here so you can always find them.

Couple of years with mine. One of the best I've owned.
I still own a V-1 and prefer the 9500ix for my metropolitan driving environment.
Currently using a Redline with Escort Live for false lock-out feature. Slightly better sensitivity than my 9500ix, not day and night difference.
