Rear Back Up Camera STAYING ON issues
Hi Everyone,
I tried to search this issue and couldn't find anything. The past couple days my back up camera has been staying on while driving FORWARDS... very weird (and very disorienting). The last time I drove, a few minutes ago, it wasn't doing it anymore. Just a glitch, or could it be something more serious? Going for an oil change at the dealership within the next few days, so I guess I'll have them check it out. Anyone else had this happen? It's a manual transmission, and in addition to the back up camera staying on, the "beep" to signal that I was in reverse gear was coming on and off intermittently as well (while driving forwards in ANY gear). Thanks, Brandon |

Wonder if it has a bad reverse light switch or something to that effect.

sounds like a bad reverse sensor in the transmission. I had this issue with my '12 ss. The car thought it was in reverse the whole time. Backup Camera, reverse lights, etc. stayed on. had to take it to a dealer.

I just had my camera replaced on my 13 1LE, here's what I was seeing when I would go in reverse:
