If you do a search, you should find more info if needed.
Not all the newer cars will have back up sensors, only the 1LT and 1SS with the C&C package and the 2LT and the 2SS will have them for now. they are not available on the LS.

I stand corrected, thanks... kind of weird though I thought the 1SS was supposed to mimic the 1LT.. learn something new every day...

I guess I'm one of the few that don't miss them. When I got my 2007 Canyon new as soon as I got home with it I took them off. And I thought they looked bad on Corvettes. Here you have a nice performance car with nice smooth lines and then all of a sudden you see these little square silver things stuck on it. You don't need those to know its a GM product. And as far as mark of excellence I'm sure those that have had mechanical or cosmetic problems don't care for them. But again just my opinion on this subject.

The point of GM removing the "chicklets" was to help unify the GM brand. The cars should speak for themselves instead of reminding everybody that GM built these cars via "chicklets." Part of their reorganization strategy.

I'm happy to also say that my car never had them (I would have removed them anyway), and I'm also pleased to have the backup sensors as well (have to point them out to most people).

My chicklets were in the way when we installed the wheel mudflaps so they had to go, and I plan on installing my own back up sensors, have them on many cars and my wife really likes them...
