That being said, I believe a stock 4th Gen SS would be neck and neck with a modded 5th Gen V6. Start modding the 4th Gen and it's time to park the V6.... |

It also makes a solid 40rwhp more. The ls1 is probably the most underrated (in the f-body) modern v8. Like pointed out by the article pictured above, the real rating for ALL ls1's was 345-350hp. An ls1 will SPANK a fifth gen v6. Although, IMO the fifth gen is a much nicer car.

As an owner of a 2001 Camaro Z/28 and a 2010 2LT/RS A6 I can honestly say I prefer to drive my 2010 over the 2001 Z/28. Sure the Z/28 is quicker and sounds better that’s all the car has on my 2010. I can honestly say since I took delivery of my 2010 back in October 2009 I have driven my 2001 no more than 10 times not sure if it’s the fun factor of the 2010 but I can tell you the comfort level night and day. My 2010 has become my preferred show car I am still tossing around the idea of keeping the 2001 or selling it. My 2001 dynoed at 311 at the rear wheels (back in 2004 stock) I have a feeling my 2010 will be in the 240’s to 250’s at the rw’s you will notice a difference but IMHO not enough to warrant not buying the V6 the only thing you will miss is the torq.

lol, I think the thread has gone off topic alil here. He has said that he wants to replace a G6. And already has 2 awesome V8's already. He is looking for a DD that performs good and looks good that is priced just right. But for some reason the SS and don't trade the LS1 keeps coming up. Plz read the whole thread before trolling and starting the usual off topic SS / LLT who's balls is bigger or who is the biggest internet tough guy. Shit get extremely old.

I believe the words he used were "I've known reef for a long time". There's a discernable difference between that and being friends with someone, I'm not like the vast majority of internet users who can befriend someone they've never even met....

Ah, I see. I figured he was just dropping names to add credibility. Oh well, nothing to dwell on.
