2011 Camaro 2SS RS Convertible opinions?

I’m interested to hear every one’s opinions about the new 2011 Camaro Convertibles. Last month I pulled the trigger and ordered one. A 2011 2SS/RS Convertible, automatic, jewel red, blk int, blk top, blk deck stripes, ground affects package (blk), polished aluminum wheels, and most of the other available options. I haven’t seen another convertible configured like this yet but I think it will be a good-looking combination. GM says the target production week for this vehicle will be sometime this month. This is one of the very few vehicles I felt was worth purchasing new. The car did get a little pricey loaded up the way I wanted it. I couldn’t get the dealers to move an inch on the sticker price. I got my order in at sticker (not a dime less). I’ve been told that the Chevy dealers in my area are now marking these cars up over sticker. I hope this car will be somewhat rare and remain valuable.

I think you'll be happy, and RJT with a black top will look nice. Can't ever go wrong with a black interior.

Sticker isn't a bad price considering this is a new model Camaro, but expect to see convertibles going below sticker a year after introduction. At least you didn't commit the cardinal sin of paying 2nd sticker or markup on top of MSRP.

As far as long term value is concerned, it won't retain its value. Not unless you drive it straight from the dealer into a heated, humidity-controlled freight container where it sits untouched and collects exactly 0 miles over the next 30 years. Otherwise, it will follow a pretty standard depreciation schedule.

Most importantly, enjoy your purchase when it arrives. Don't be afraid to drive it and have fun with it.

I had to search like hell to find a dealer at msrp, it just so happened I got lucky.and.the.first one.I found, gave me $50 over invoice! So I made out there, but I've never heard anything else like that. I.still.don't.have a final price.as the.car just got its VIN today....

As far as depreciation ....unless you store it.like.someone.else.mentioned.... however, 2011 is.gonna be a short producion yr for.the verts, and especially if they do change the.interior in.2012, that should add some collectability to the 11's...if nothing else, at least we wont have the generic chevy steering wheel!

I love them since I ordered a 2SS/RS myself . Mine is SIM, black top, black rally stripes, gray interior & polished wheels ~ named Silvermist.

I know the max I will pay is sticker, but dealer said they will see what they can do when it comes in.
