What to do with this paint chip?

Detailing my car today, and I noticed down by the gills, a huge spot of of paint chipped. Something big must have hit it. Can something this size be repaired with touch up paint, or is this more of of a repaint?

Well sure you can touch it up... you'll see it, but it'll look a lot better than it does now. Just take your time, put a drop in it any try to get it to "flow" into the chipped area, rather than brush it back and forth. Looks like it dented the metal a little too.

I had a couple chips in the Gill area,I got touch- up paint from the dealer ,used a tooth pick and slowly filled the chip. You really have to look hard to notice it.Brushing it
on is not the way to go.

The GM touch up stuff seems to match the best, at least on my color...but you can get paint from a variety of sources, including ebay or amazon.

I paid $10 at my dealer for factory matched touch-up.. I don't see a reason to shop around on that.

www.automotivetouchup.com - factory paint matches in a variety of containers.
www.drcolorchip.com - heard good reviews on their paint chip repair kit, but haven't seen it in person.
