It depends on the kid. I am almost 21 and I have never had one ticket or even been pulled over. Thats why I hate when people stereotype that all kids are bad and do stupid stuff. And if you were his age I am sure you wouldn't be turning that car down.

No one would turn down the car I don't fault the kid more the parents, but to each his own it's a free country if they want to buy him a car so be it. My kid will get a 500 dollar beater and the rest goes to their college fund. JMO

Sorry guys, I hate to say it but if he deserves it and is responsible enough for it than its all good. I was 15 1/2 when I got my learners and that day me and my dad went to look at the 2002 Camaro but we got more incentives from Ford and I got suckered into a 2002 Mustang(brand new off of a truck) and I took care of that thing till I was about 19 and sold it for a brand new 2006 Civic the day they came out and at the age of 22 I am an owner of a brand new 2010 Camaro 2LT/RS and I worked my ass off for it because I was taught value of money.

Can you imagine that insurance bill? OMGWTF! My parents' biggest concern was just getting me something safe; airbags, etc. I had a '95 Lumina for my first car. I was hoping for a 4th Gen Camaro at the time, but no luck.

Personally, I have no problem with a parent helping their kid get a car (it's what I plan on doing for my kids). I have a problem with mommy and daddy just buying 15 yr old little Johnny a $40,000 car. What does that teach him? That whatever he really wants will just be handed to him? Sorry kid, life doesn't work that way and you're in for a rude awakening sometime down the road.
