That's great and all, but the op was asking about the CHARGER.....Not sure why they are comparing the Camaro mpg to the Charger but, whatever. The mpg's for the Charger are fairly similar.....

Gas mileage , gas mileage who cares? Every other post is about gas. DoN't buy a sports car if you care about gas.

Get an GO-PRO Camera and record the sound , then load that to your MP3/IPOD , play as many times you want , where you want and when you want it .

you will save lots of gas .

Don't know about mileage, but you can get more bags of groceries into the back seat of a Charger.

I actually get better mileage in my '11 SS than my wife does in her '10 R/T Charger (and it shuts down 4 cyl's). I am not exactly easy on the throttle and I am averaging right about 21 MPG while she drives in a much easier manner and is only getting 19-20. Both of us drive a good mix of HWY and in town driving, so there really isn't a difference in "types" of miles.

When I was thinking about getting a new car, it was a toss up between the Camaro and Charger. I really liked the features of the Charger, especially the interior(in my opinion, it's better than the Camaro, honestly). Plus it's a four door, which would have maybe saved me some cash on insurance.

But my brother(works at a Chevy dealership), asked his manager if he could bring home a Camaro. I came home from work one day and there was a nice looking Silver Camaro in the driveway, and I took it for a drive, and that was that.

But for awhile there I was really leaning towards the Charger. I would have traded my 2003 Ford Ranger in and probably would have gotten the AWD V8 Charger, with leather and whatnot. But I kept my truck and bought a V6 Camaro instead.

I didn't even once consider that other car from Ford.... lol.

One more thing, the Charger is a 4-door granny car. It doesn't matter what size the engine is in it.

If Hemi's are so good, why do people always get Chevy motors for their hotrods and such?

In my '12 2LS, I average 29 mpg at 75 mph. The engine turns only 1750 rpm's at that speed.

At 65 mph, I average 32+ mpg.

At 55 mph, I average 35+ mpg.

My '11 2SS, at 75 mph I average 23+ mpg.

At 65 mph, I average 26+ mpg.

At 55 mph I average 29+ mpg.

No complaints here, but I didn't buy 2 Camaros for the mileage.
