Why advertise something that we can't have? I know it says "Preproduction model shown" and this is Chevy's way of saying "some things may change from what you see in this picture", but come on, get some graphics people on the case & make that picture reflect what will TRULY be available - I love the ABL all the way across the dash....quit teasing me....

Or is it possible that once October hits, we WILL get the ABL across the dash, just like the picture shows?
FWIW - I think you are confusing ABL with the trim that runs across the dash and down to the door panels. In the original design there was a fiber optic that outlined this trim. I don't know what happened between design and production but this feature is not available at this time. It could indeed be a RPO in the future or even an aftermarket item, but I suppose it has to do with customer demand. (as always)

To those involved at Chevy: Bravo on creating a slick, fun website with a good customization feature for the Camaro!

I'd like to see images of the interior and be able to change it with my interior selection, though...

I think it's quite impressive too. Just did a build. It does show the SS auto trans as $1,185 and the Rally stripes are now $470. I hadn't heard about the stripes increasing from $395, although I'm sure these are LPO and thus the CGM and White aren't even listed. Maybe the factory installed are still the same.

Why is there not a white color option on the build your own site?

Simply because white isn't available for a few months yet.

I'm sure they still need to just work out a few bugs; I can't put WHITE stripes on my IOM 2SS RS either.

^^^Right, they're only showing the LPO stripe colors. CGM and White were removed as LPO items quite a while back.

Then it looks like they say "up to 29 mpg" in one of photos of the V6.

I just noticed that 29 mpg's, I checked out fueleconomy.gov and Camaro (or any 2010 model year vehicle) is not listed yet. 29 mpg's for a 300 horsepower car would just be sick! If GM can make a performance coupe with 300 hp and almost 30 mpg's that is a testament to engineering.

I agree .. you know what is funny though ... I'm not sure what the 2001 LS1 SS was rated at on the highway, but on a trip from Texas to PA, I got 30MPG .. the LS1 was a marvel !! .. BTW .. stock it dyno'd 306rwhp ... not bad for a 30mpg highway car

I've got a couple of friends that had C5 Z06 Vettes that would regularly nail down 30 mpg on highway trips. LS motors always seen to get pretty decent gas milage even with fairly high HP numbers as long as a guy can resist the temptation to wiggle your toes on the right foot.
