Sorry for the revive but this looks very cool.
I was just wondering how this newer version is installed and if it requires any cutting or drilling into my front bumper cover?

Also can I control the scanner from the inside of the car or do I need to be outside of it? I sometimes use my Camaro as a response vehicle and if it's IR then I don't see as much use from it.
