Z28 black rims
Thinking about buying a black zl1. REALLY like the z28 black rims. Do you ever see anyone sell these at all? Anyone know cost of brand new ones?

Its gonna be really hard to find OEM z28 wheels. There is a company that makes some pretty kickass replicas. Search the wheels and tires forum, they are super reasonably priced! Pm the vendor.

As of right now GM currently has a restriction on the wheels and can only be ordered if you can provide a Z/28 VIN and a matching owners name for that VIN. Eventually I'm thinking this restriction may be lifted but they have been on restriction since the car was released for production. There have been a few that have popped up in the for sale section though. So if you monitor that you might be able to find a set. Also be warned though that with the wider wheel they will stick out past your fenders and you better have some rock guard protection in place or your paint on the side of the car will take a beating. Search for Dropspeed's build thread on here and he has converted his 1LE over to Z/28 wheels. you'll be able to see how they would fit on a ZL1.

Wow. They cost me about $2499 shipped brand new. $5K is ridiculous. I think they're still restricted, though; I got lucky. I bet the restriction will be removed by next spring.

Without the the fender flares that make the Z/28 wheel opening appear smaller than the sheet metal truly is as wheel as hide the width, the 305/30/19 may look odd on a stock suspended ZL1.
I have the Z/28 wheels with 305/30/19s on my 1LE pictured below and inn my build thread in my sig. My car is 15mm lower in the from and about 30mm lower in the rear. The front also has about -2.0 degree of camber which helps tuck the tire. Brand new Z/28 wheels from the dealer (which you can't get if you are not an owner) with TMPS sensors and Trofeo tires installed you are looking at $5250 -$5400 out the door depending on tax and or shipping with mounting and balance.
