Diablo Preadator... Custom tune neccessary???

I spent like $350 and it needs to be tuned by someone again?? Just bc of the CAI and aftermarket exhaust. Is this true or can the Performance tune be modified through settings to get the same results??? PLEASE HELP

the unit only offers a generic tune. . . not good for much at all. . the only way to get the max hp out of your mods is to get a custom tune installed on the preadator.

no it doesn't NEED a custom tune for just an intake and exhaust.

the canned tune is enough for you, but to increase the effectiveness of the tune, it is recommended to dial in the fuel trims. it is very simple, all you gotta do is drive around while logging the car's parameters, push a few buttons and thats it.

i'm sure 06MonteSS will be chiming in shortly to explain this further... he is the DS custom tune man!

but a custom tune (live scan is better) is the way to go.

WHERE IS MONTE!!!! It is bugging me. I wanna figure this out. One fellow man already Suggested Mr Monte and said he was legit. But it would be sweeeet to maybe do this on my own with the few mods I have done. PLUS I dont have the interface ac adapter to turn the Tuner on while uploading data to my PC. I have the cord, but no power.... GAHH! WHY DID DIABLO PROVIDE SO LITTLE? Dont they catch hell for this??

I read all the tunning posts I could find. From what I understand Getting the LTFT's around 0 to -2 is the idea for the fuel mixture. I selected all the variables to watch on Real time read or whatever, was reading around -6 and -7 for the two FTFT readings. I adjusted the injector slope 7% up and ran the test three more time's and had the readings averaging -1 and lower on both.

What else is there to tune besides the fuel mixture?

Got the Shift skip eliminated (THANK GOD).

My Cats are cut out so what adjustment should i make there??

When ever you deviate from the Stock Vehicle, in your case CAI and Cats removed, requires a Custom tune that can only be written by a Diablosport CMR dealer.

The Handheld only allows certain adjustments to the tune but none are Code related.

Keeps the environmentalist crusaders off Diablos back.

RBC, I posted in your other thread. Get in touch with Ted and let him set you up with a custom tune. No further need to run logs to get your fuel trims dialed in and he can make alot more changes you can't do with the handheld. You will be much happier in the long run with his results.

The Diablo canned tune is pretty darn good for those mods. The only thing you should really need a custom tune for is to turn off the O2 codes. I went ahead and had TCM tuned but the ECM did not even need a tweek with a non-Custom Diablo tune.

Hopefully someday Diablo will release the TCM tune...
