Stainless Steel Rotors

Since our Camaros Rotors rust and not the best quality, can someone give a good place to buy rotors stainless steel slotted/drilled, and at a good price. Thanks

almost all rotors are made of iron or a composit of some kind, and you wont find any stainless steel rotors they just aren't made for Brembo's hope this helps.

Rust on the rotors have nothing to do with the quality of the rotor.. it is a natural occurance especially if you let one sit much...

As you all know, just after you wash the car and let it sit, they start the rust look, Drives me crazy. We paid good money for this to happen.

I haven't had a car in recent memory that doesn't get rust on the rotors after washing it, and that included my last Vette which had high performance aftermarket slotted rotors.

Thats just the way it is.

You're going to end up spending a lot of money for something that's only marginally better than what you have now assuming that you can find any at all. Consider this one of those parts that you're going to have to eventually replace, like brake pads.

if you are looking to get good slotted rotors try DBA, or even Brembo replacement rotors and may be EBC rotors, but it's not going to make it brake that much better to spend the extra cash.

Your rotors are a heat sink. You want them to be iron (composite rotors are to save weight for mileage and they warp). Aftermarket rotors are zinc washed for cosmetics. The zinc will wear off the contact surface and remain silver on the non-contact area. I also use the VHT brush-on brake caliper paint to paint the hat area black. The brush on makes it easy to apply, no masking etc.
If you want to change rotors, get a better rotor. Most "cosmetic upgrade rotors" are a drilled/slotted/zinc washed Chinese casting. I.E. and "pretty" piece of crap. Get a rotor that is directional vaned and even a thicker better alloy casting.
I've had great luck with Baer EradiSpeed's and DBA's. With rotors you get what you pay for. Cheap is just that.
And remember. Pads and rotors are consumables.

It's not a ZR1

Makes no sense to spend $1600 on a set of rotors because of rust.
