The 455?

Are we talking about Firebirds or Camaros?

And would that be a Pontiac 455? That would be greatness. Pontiac V8s sound better than any other GM V8. There is something undeniably sweet about the sound of a big Poncho at full tilt.

Oldsmobile 455? Ummm....well they did have an Olds 403 in the late 70's Formula Firebirds. I guess 455 isn't too much of a stretch. And like 'em or not, the 455 Rocket is pretty dayum cool.

Buick 455? Not in any F-body I know of....at least not from the factory.

But back on topic: I'm just happy to have an F-body again. Even if it's not one of my beloved Firebirds. A Camaro this beautiful is more than a consolation prize.

I'm ecstatic, and i'm just short of three years from getting mine! I'll be getting a V8, but nothing is wrong with a 300 Horse V6! Heck, my 91 Caprice with a V8 only puts out 180 horse!

Were you talking about my reference to the F-Body?

If so, then it might be a Zeta II chassis, but it will always be an F-body

After 35 years of being called F-body's you can't change the name...

To hell with the whole "A V6 Camaro isn't a real Camaro" crowd.
love that mentality. and everyone who thinks it is a moron.

a camaro IS a camaro if and only if it is a V-6.

what do i mean by that? 2 things
first (not so serious). you have a camaro...then you have an SS, then you have a Z28. point blank. lol

second (serious)
THIS CAR WOULD NOT BE HERE IF THERE WERENT A V-6!!!!! plain and simple. 90% of these "good 'ol boys" have probably never owned a v-8 camaro in their life and are just living off the badass v-8, power hungry, hype of yesteryear. i mean seriously, did you think they were only going to make 2 v-8s and be able to sell enough of them to be worth a damn?

no. so get off it.

Wow didn't realize that people actually had that mentality! I'm a v-8 kinda guy and have owned 1 or 2 but v-6 or v-8 a camaro is a camaro...and the damn thing has around the same hp as a 4th gen ls1.

I have to disagree, I think it is time to change (change is good). The days of the Fbody are gone, lets move on.
