confused by mph and et time
trying to figure out why my mph is higher than those running faster e/ts. I have a 2013 camaro ss 1le with cai ptb solo cats and outlaw exhaust with no tune on stock tires. I have been consistently running 13.3 qtrs at 110 to 111 mph. my 60 ft is 2.2 to 2.3. my question is I ran another ss at the track on Friday he beat me by 2 100's of a second but ran 106 mph and I ran 111 mph he had a 2.1 60ft and I had a 2.3 60ft. just seems like a big difference in mph for 2 100s of a second for the full quarter. was it all in the 60ft?

Probably. And if you're both M6, it's all driver.

You are making more HP but he was the better driver.

Driver and car.
The 1LE had wider tires so they can be a tad slower at a drag strip plus those stock F1's are not good for hooking. Seen several stock and modded ZL1's have 120 trap speeds but 13-14 second ET's. On a track you would have the advantage, drag strip is a little different. When you feel like it, get some LTH, DR's and tune that beast and your ET's and trap will greatly improve. |

Squeezing what?
When you're talking stock-ish cars on radials the M6 should out MPH the auto and the auto will probably out ET all but the best M6 drivers. Squeezing.....??? Spraying? WTF was he spraying if that's all the car ran? lol |

Wouldn't worry about the MPH too much in your case. Focus on you 60' You take .3 or .4 off (which is possible with what you have) and you could run a high 12 at the same MPH if not slower

He had a bottle in there said he sprayed his nitrous. I thought with that he would have killed me. Also the track is at 2400ft above sea level if that makes a difference.

It is a good rule of thumb for most street cars. its because the first 60' takes the longest amount of time to do (feet per second) compared to anywhere else down the track
the faster the car and the faster the 60' the more it begins to get closer to a .1 to .1 ratio |

Simple answer: your 60ft blows! As in you are either blowing your tires away, or you come out like grandpas pecker, soft and with no vinegar!
Either way, you have got to get your 60ft down. You should easily be around a 2.0 and that will make a huge difference on your ET. mph means nothing if your losing the ET race! |
