Am I experiencing wheel hop?

I have a cammed M6 LS3 w/ stock tires and I've been playing around with launching my car before I take it out to the track.

I'll launch at around 3400-3700 rpm's and I'll feather the clutch out for a pretty smooth launch, and as soon as it grabs I'll mash the gas and I'll spin for a second or two and I'll experience a little bit of vibration along with it. Not exactly the "earthquake in your car" feeling but my tires do make some noise and I do feel my shifter a little shaky. It will last from first through most of second.

It kind of sounds like this CTS-V at the 38 second mark when he is in the process of the burnout.

Do y'all think its wheel hop or just some pretty bad spinning?

That CTS-V did nothing that looked like wheel hop? Not sure what you were referring to. When he 1st starts to spin the tires then stops soon after you hear the other car in the background. Then the CADY smoothly accelerates into a nice burnout!!

The Caddy was just hitting the rev limiter I think.....

Here's a pretty bad case of wheel hop

Wheelhop kinda feels like you are going over rumble strips.

It can be deadly to driveline parts. For a manual transmission car, you might want to get with someone like BMR and see what they reccomend, might be a set of trailing arms and toe rods. Beefier aftermarket parts won't flex as much as stock plus they use a higher durometer (stiffer) material for the bushings.
