That's why I'm bringing the wife- she'll have plenty of time to do that.

...
I can't understand how with 36 members attending how there are only 12 rooms booked. Well, I can, but you would think more people would be staying overnight.
Agreed- something is amiss...

I have a bigger issue with only me and 2010CamaroJ coming via the Buffalo area so far. No one else has PM'd me that they will be coming over the Rainbow Bridge with us. SOMEBODY else has to be coming our way. Banshee's caravan isn't 34 cars, nor are there 34 between his caravan and the Canadian crew...

WTF?

I will wait until 9:00 am MAX to cross the bridge for those who still want to meet up with us at the Seneca-Niagara Casino on the US side in Niagara Falls right by the Rainbow Bridge. All are welcome- even last minute additions but I'd really like to know who I'm waiting for so I don't leave anyone behind.

On another note,

I thought I was booked already as I gave Amanda my CC info last Friday. We had been playing phone tag since.

So...my room wasn't counted perhaps? I have confirmation as of 4:45 pm yesterday (Sept 29th)

Nevermind Waldo getting all primped up. Trent is such a preener that he washes and waxes all his beer bottles before AND after he drinks them. You'll see it for yourself Friday night.

A few members are sharing a room to save a few bucks (or perhaps other reasons) but the smart one's who live close by are booking rooms because they know what kind of shape they'll be in on Friday night! Some are also staying elsewhere or visiting non camaro freinds which is fine. We have our 15, we just need to get it all synched up with the hotel.

I am just going over a few names with Amanda right now.

Hey now- that just isn't, well, not, umm, quite, ummm...

Aw hell.

Anyways, Waldo's home safe and sound enjoying the warmth and security of my garage right now. He needs to be washed prior to the trip but the weather in Buffalo hasn't been cooperating now for the past 3 or 4 days. I did take out his front floormats and wash them last night as well as ever so gently stroke Meguiar's onto the leather...

Our current finances are as follows:

We have raised $4,200 and we are spending about $5,500 ($5,200 is for Friday's event). Our shortfall is $1,300. Please keep those donations coming.....

I'd like to throw in, at least a little bit... Just a couple questions:

Does this include the party room discount?

Also, regarding the beer... Will it be "open bar" of some sort, or purchase-as-consumed?

I think Hylton is using round numbers and yes these would assume we get the discount (it's not a huge cost for that lounge BTW). Regarding beer cost - not sure that this is factored in to the total. Will see how the funds work out - we plan to buy for those in attendance - but there might be a group kick-in for that - we'll see.

However you should consider that the total costs quoted are for the running of the main event (the food, the venue, the plaque being presented and all the other costs around that). So in other words, these costs are going towards us saying "thank you" to the builders of our cars. This is why Hylton has been asking for donations from the general populous here rather than just those attending. HOWEVER, for those who are attending, if you haven't put a little into the kitty, your donations are greatly appreciated (hint hint).
BIG thanks to all that have donated thus far!!!

I was going to give him some greenbacks when I got there but being the kitty is that short, I sent it now...

The number includes the party room. I have put a lot of money in and am ultimately on the hook for the balance. If we get more donations then I will have no problem putting money towards the "open bar".

On that subject, I would like to have a few guys go over to the beer store Friday morning and load up on brew so we can bring it back to the hotel and put it on ice for the remainder of the afternoon while we are at the event. Perhaps we can all put $20 bucks each in a pot and spend it on beer and beer food for the Friday night.

I have a question for anybody that is in Oshawa right now...

Is the blue labeled 'Monster' (Low-carb) readily available in the area or should I bring my own?

(And let's NOT get started about certain people being high-maintenance, OK?)
