If you're getting an SS, the problem may be that the brakes don't fit inside the steel wheels.

Yeah i say two sets of wheels. But the better option and the one i would do and some others have said is have a winter 4x4 that was cheap, and leave the maro in the garage, probably on jack stands (don't want flat spots) with a cover (dust is a bitch)

There are other good brands for snows, Dunlop and Blizzak to name a couple.

Not in 20's and the RS limits the rear wheels to 20 "

If you've got the V6's FE2 suspension and brakes, the 18" aluminum and steel wheels should fit on there without a problem. Also, ALL wheel and tire combos on the camaro yield the same outer tire diameter, so you don't need to worry about the speedometer, etc, as long as you get the right size tire. Problem is, a set of 1LT rims and snow tires could get pretty pricey.

There have been posts on here about the RS option impacting the rear. When you order RS you get the V8 hubs and a 4.5 link vs he 4.0 . The 18" will not fit.

Well, GM was running Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow tires on their CTF cars over the winter. I'd consider those if I lived somewhere that it snowed more than once every 5 or so years.

wait wait wait...so you guys are saying that the car wont come with all season tires if you live somewhere where it snows? i mean i know the factory wont do that but the dealers wont put on the all season tires for you? and if they do i have to pay extra for that? thats just stupid if thats true! and if i do have to pay for the snow tires i better be keeping the original performance tires!

It's really up to the dealers. My local dealers will swap them out if you ask as long as you pay the mounting fee but be warned most will swap them out with the cheapest thing they have that is the same size so they can make a nice profit when they sell your P-Zeros.

Yeah, if someone finds reasonably-priced snow tires on cheap wheels that'll fit over the Brembos, please PM me. It'll probably be just a matter of time before the pattern gets common and people start seeing a Money-Making Opportunity, but I'd rest easier knowing I could still get to school in the thing in a Denver blizzard.
