yeah the exhaust is otherwise stock and other than impending headers i dont forsee that changing any time soon for 3 reasons
1. its already all 2.5" stainless
2. the ls3 resonators are pretty small and i dont really see them doing much anyways (unlike the l99 resonator)
3. i prefer the sound of an h over an x on american v8's

thanks guys

ive installed both round and oval magnaflows on cars and they sound the same, the difference is with the case length, shorter case louder sound longer case softer sound

that's what i read on their website, but when i contacted somebody at magnaflow, they said that there is a sound difference between oval and round...but didnt he mention length. i know most of the common magnaflow's are 14" length, so i thought going to a smaller diameter round muffler would sound different

I've got the 4" round, no headers. Idle sounds a little better and real good when I get on it!!

old topic but I will be replacing the Doug Thorley mufflers with these this week... ordered them today(and they already shipped through Summit)... setup will be Doug Thorley Longtubes, no cats, x-pipe(no resonator) and these mufflers... the Doug Thorley mufflers are a little too restrictive in sound for my taste, these should liven it up some

i may get some added to my 2.5" comp catback, its kind of just too loud/too mucg drone with the headers on the highway...and i love the 5" magnaflow tips I have so i wont change the axelback portion, just add the round mufflers
