The plot above is with my boost controller OFF, so it's spring pressure boost. I have the 8# spring, but it yields 6.5-7# boost at my altitude (with stock exhaust but Stage III cam). I get a larger boost difference when the controller is turned on and controlling a higher boost. I'm sure there are better boost controllers (e.g., Boost Leash, ones that do boost by gear) but for the price and what I do - AEM works fine.

Boost is easy to hold with the correct setup or controller.

Agreed on boost vs timing in most cases, but it is whatever the car runs. If you get to the point where the car won't take more than 10-11 degrees I would back the boost down and up the timing, but if you are in the 12-15 range, go crazy with the boost as long as you have fuel to support it.

I got my S200 51mm turbos today, only $520 each shipped. They are tiny compared to the S300 turbos. Hopefully they spool a lot earlier. These S300s give 5psi at about 3400rpm so there is a lot of room for improvement.

I swapped the 60mm S300s to the 51mm S200s. The S300s had .88 open T4 housings and the S200s have .83 divided T4 housings. The opening area on the S200 housings are really T3 size, just the bolt pattern is T4, so Im sure there is a little turbulence there that can be mostly fixed by porting the inlet.

It spools right at 300rpm faster, doesn't seem like much, but it is noticeable and more fun to drive. 8# at 3500rpm and 14# at 4000rpm.

They tell me a 3" exhaust all the way back drops the spooling another 200 RPM. I have the Magnaflow 3" ZL1 CB, Bur I have not yet measured it though. Still fooling around with my boost controller starting with pure duty and staying right around 10 PSI. Are you doing your own tune?

Update on my baby Borg Warner S200 51/56 setup.

Just got retuned a few days ago and ran a club dyno day.

Results were 804rwhp at 11psi boost, 804ft-lbs torque at 11.7psi boost on the plot and reviewing the data logs for where boost was at for the max. E85 and the BTR Stage III cam surely bumped those results. That puts me at a calculated 711hp actual output at the crank, which is a bit scarey on an unforged motor, but I'm only running 14* max timing and plenty of fuel.

Now, my stock, before anything was 368rwhp. Added the AGP TT kit, E85 and the BTR cam. Doing the math, I get 37rwhp per 1psi boost and the same 37ft-lbs torque per pound boost. Now, that's pretty darn efficient!

Great power! Is it 51/56 or 51/61? I think its 61 for the small side of the turbine?

Are the AGP kits using .63 or .82 a/r turbine housings? Would the .48 a/r housing really stop it up? I bet those would spool quickly.

I ordered the .48 housings from AGP. I currently have the standard BW .83 housings on there so Im hoping for a decent improvement.

That's smaller than we ever run on the camaros. The .63's spool those turbos up pretty quick and still give some top end. I think .48's would be too quick with too much power loss by redline. Want us to change that to .63's?

Thanks for the reply. This is a light car with a 6.0, I'd like to try the .48 to see how quickly I can get them to spool. Its a manual and Im ok shifting at 5500rpm if it runs better that way.
