The camera comes in a bracket, but you need the second one to hold the camera to the bumper.

How does the camera work in dirty conditions?
With the wintertime and some more dirt on the road I'm wondering if i would have to clean the camera before I can back up

If you go 4 wheeling then i say yes you will need to, but i have not had any need to clean the camera.

What holds the bracket to the bumper? Is it just a snug fit? I made a template to cut out the hole in the bumper in the proper shape but I don't see anything to hold it in place.

Also, can the bracket be installed with the bumper on the car? I don't see any room to maneuver the brackets & camera into place.

If you look at the new bracket, there is a Chanel around it, you need to remove the bumper and slid the bracket in from the rear, this is for the 2012 camera.

Any one coming to my home this week want to try out my new Harness for the new mirror form a 2012, will see if it works no drilling, i need a car to test on.

2 weeks ago i fixed my wires nice and tight so i don't want to have to undo all that work.

Was your car built May 4, or May 5, 2009? Mine was built May 5th. #8002. This mod is on my list after a few others but definately on the list.

Build Sheet that I have and all other paper work lists the build date as May 05, 2009 or Cinco-De-Mayo. I picked up the car on June 04, 2009.

I noticed that on the 2012 Camaro, that the lines on the screen turn when you turn the wheel to display the path of your vehicle... is it possible to obtain the same functionality if retro fitting a 2011 with the camera and mirror from a 2012?
