I think the Pro Torque converters are very tight at part throttle, making them perfect for a daily driven or weekend car that has plenty of power to loosen it up at WOT. I do think much better can be had for racing.
I had a "2800 stall" in my vette that was so loose at part throttle it really sucked. Went with the 2800 stall in this car and it is perfect for what I want.

Gotta stick around for a little while. No one else is getting silly this winter with their car. I need to provide some entertainment.

I ran a small cam on the stock converter and picked up about 70 hp with less boost than you run. I would imagine you would get more out of it with what you're pushing.

Not sure about the money tree but the motor tree is in CT in someone's back yard. It produces a couple LS engines per year. If you blow one up, just go out to the tree and choose another. LOL

I got silly. I upped my boost to 13+ psi, dialed in the 125 shot right before the snow flew, now installed a Mr Freeze meth injection kit. I'll bet I'm the only 5th gen camaro with that kit, and the only one running boost and spray in an engine that hasn't ever had the intake off, still running the DOD lifters. I got silly right with you, we share a rubber room?

Look into the Mr Freeze kit. Can be had on corral.net for $100. I reluctantly tried one on my 383 vette with a t trim at 16 psi. Ended up loving it. No electrical parts to fail. Costs almost nothing. Everyone complains about the 2 quart tank but I found I'm under my hood a couple times a week anyway, it was never more than 1/2 empty when I refilled it.

The wife just wife just insisted on me getting a stall convertor after seeing how hard they launch! What convertor should I order with the power level I have?

Guys have been killing it with the Yank. Avoid the Pro Torque. Performance just isn't there compared to the others. The yank is like a sling shot!

Thanks for the quick reply what size stall would you recommend? and I was told you have to. "Flash" a stall convertor, you don't just brake stand it? Or you shouldn't brake stand it

With that blower I'd do a 2800. Traction will be difficult with a 2800 so I wouldn't go any higher. Correct, these cars seem to respond to flashing the converter rather than foot braking stalling it. All flashing is holding the rpms at around 1000 then on the second yellow you mash the pedal. As opposed to trying to have the brakes hold you at say 2500.
