2011 V6 w/ original Pirelli tires - problem

OK, so I'm asking a question on behalf of my Aunt, who has a 2011 V6 with the original Pirelli tires, so you'll have to bear with me. I don't have all the answers as I haven't driven the car.

Her car has just over 20K miles. She uses the car for daily driving and some road trips. It is located in Phoenix, AZ (for heat purposes).

She tells me, that, while there is ample tread left on the tires, she is having issues with the front tires. It was described to me that she feels as if she's driving on a road with heavy grooves. If I had to guess, this is a result of uneven wear?

I was told she does not need an alignment, and just had the tires re-balanced to see if would help.

Anyone else have this issue? It seems as if she needs to replace the tires, no? Based on my research here on the boards, it seems as if she's on the very low end miles-wise to be replacing the tires, especially if she's not driving the car hard.

Mine did the same thing and it drove me nuts. I hated those tires and could not wait to get rid of them.

Some tires exhibit that behavior more than others and it can vary by temp. Aside from that, it's typically a sign of an alignment issue.

Did she say if it's always occurred or a new condition?

Thanks for the input. While I'm going to do a search, what tires did you end up going with?

This apparently is a very recent occurrence. She did take the car in to have the alignment checked out. She was told it is fine.

Toyo Proxes4, but they are not great in wet weather performance.

My Pirellis are about done at 17K and the usual range is 15-25k. My tires have 4/32 left and have turned into absolute junk recently.

How does she know she has ample tread left?

She's brought the car in, either to a tire shop or the dealer, and they told her. Whether it's true or not, I have no idea.

The pirellis do not last very long. 20K miles is good for those tires. Hit up Discount Tire.
