Ill have to check closely again, think it could be something wedged in between? I know I sure as hell have pad left. got some Cobalt frictions I was going to slap on.

The knock I hear in all your videos it sounds internal to me. I'd put your tune back to stock and roll her into the dealership and let them take care of it before it fails. My work van has the same knock at start up, but it's expected the engine has 240k on a vortec 4.8 liter.

Maybe so. Does it brake evenly when you come to a stop? I have always been able to feel warped rotors with light braking just before the car comes to a complete stop. I'd just take it apart and inspect everything and put it back together to start with. Probably wouldn't take you longer than 30 minutes.

Very well could be! There are still 4 cylinders worth of cam lobes I'm unable to check without pulling the heads. I'm just paying extra close attention all the time and knocking possibilities off one by one. There are only so many parts to check... eventually I'll get through all of them. I know the stealership sounds like the rational move to most people, but I'm only doing that if I'm forced to admit defeat. Call me stubborn.

Yeppirs!

I checked the plugs today and everything was clean and dry. I think I'm going to pull the headers off next and put the factory mids back in for a few minutes. That'll give me a chance to look the headers over a little better for holes. Gettin pretty close to pulling those heads!

I think once it gets down to just the heads left to check I'm gonna order go fast parts to do while I have the motor apart. That cam install may just happen a little sooner than I had planned.

The real power comes from the heads. Hands down IMHO.

Nope. She still squeaks with the best of them. My plan is to pull the heads and do new lifters when i finally get my cam parts list bought.

Still no damage apparent though. Really weird. Do you have a similar problem?

Yes chirping knocking sound coming from sounds like valve train area drivers side headers amplify the sound. Pulled the valve cover could not pin point where it was coming from. Was thinking lifters dont know for sure.
