Request/Question: Stripes the same color as the car?

This is probably kind of an odd idea, but has anyone ever gotten stripes on their car that were the same as or just slightly off of their cars body color? I could see it creating a nice, subtle effect where normally it would look like a 'normal' car, but as you went around a corner or drove by, the sun would hit it at just the right angle and show all the stripes to create a spectacular flash. I've looked online a bit and havn't seen any examples of anyone trying this (probably for obvious reasons ).
