Black Vs. Polished Aluminum

Now I just purchased my black SS a couple weeks ago and it has the 20" polished aluminum rims. I do like them and the car looks great. That being said, I have seen some pics of the SS with black rims and I really like that look too. Now I won't go asking for too many opinions but is there a way to trade rims and tires or use them as part of a purchase against a set of black rims? I would hate to buy a new set and have an extra just laying around. Thanks in advance!!!

I've seen some polished wheels painted black that looked. Just make your painter does a good prep before painting. Also, your ride won't be availible while the wheels are being painted.

I agree. If you like the look of the stocks but just want black, powdercoating is the way to go.

Black wheels only look good with a lip pinstripe to provide a visual break between the tire and wheel. Otherwise, they tend to look like spare tires to me.

Very well put. It doesn't add or bring out anything visually to the wheels or the car when everything is just black. Again JMHO not trying to be critical of anyones selection.

Hey if you like it than I like it for you too.
