I see the fuel additive torco you sell raises the octane to 97. If you run say 110 is that to much octane and will it hurt the motor? The reason I ask where I live all the hot rodders here can get a 55 gallon drum of 110-114 octane for around 350 bucks and I would use this if it would not hurt the motor.

It is Not recommended to put Any Leaded Fuel in these cars.

Too much octane will not hurt anything but you can actually lose power from too much octane without tuning for it.

You can run 100 or 104 Unleaded racing fuel mixed with 91-or 93 to achieve 97 octane.

Ted.

+1 My local Sunoco carries race gas in 5 gallon cans. What would the correct mixture be for 100 or 104 octane to achieve 97 octane? Would race gas be more or less expensive than Torco?

If you have 5 gals on 93 and 5 gallons of 104 you should end up with 98.5

Torco sounds easier to use and less expensive right? You only need to add a small amount when you fill the tank. This question may already have been answered but with the 5% pulley and CAI is octane booster absolutely required to prevent timing from being pulled? Or do you recommend adding it only because you get the absolute best performance from the higher octane gas?
