Very nice job IBM!
I won't pursue anything further on the one I did.

Looks great. I don't want to take out too much of the car, as you know. But, I also want to be able to read peoples names on the cards. If the background is too dark and we use a dark marker, the names won't show up...no point. I just figured if we could do it a tad bit brighter. But....looks good like that. I think that could work.

2 suggestions:

1: Bring Silver Markers and leave the image dark!

2: Are the lanyard/holders vertical? If not, the image should be turned.

AWESOME name tags! Can we go NOW?!

1: I thought about that too but most will use black Sharpies

2: with the 16pt card stock we won't need holders just a hole punched in the top for the lanyards. I printed one out on photo paper and will post pics later.

And thanks..

What do we want to use for the cars????

I'm thinking 1000 for people and will 500 be enough for the cars?

Any word on a sponsor for these? We still have the back to print on.

In all honesty, I think it would be easiest of we had all the cards (to be filled out by the member) and lanyards at the host hotel and track so they could be picked up and filled out then. It would be nice if it were double sided as the lanyards do swing around. But, if not, it shouldn't be a deal breaker. When you are talking about buying 500 name cards, the price begins to get up there.

But, as I said, we'll have the lanyards. If you guys want to try to figure something out on the cards, by all means, please help!
we'll need more than 500 cards

keep in mind we had over 500 new camaros at the first Fest and over 1500 people... granted, not everyone is a member (family/spouses/friends/etc) and not everyone is bringing a car. but I/we anticipate a MUCH larger showing this timre around.

I'm waiting on an email from my printer and will need to know an amount before he quotes me a price.

So 1000 for the cars and 2500 for people??? or just use the same card for both (cheaper) 5000 will be the cheapest route at $125 retail so I'm sure my cost would be around $70.

I bought the ones for last year and it cost way more than that but it was the whole badge. With cover. The part that really sucked is, though we had plenty, I don't think we used even a third of them. People just didn't use them. It was around 500.00 total. Have we figured out how to wear them yet? Cover badge? Provided? Provided for a cost? Lanyard obviously will be at a cost. Maybe incorporate a lanyard cost in the entry fees? Sell them at the gate so everyone buys one. Or almost anyway. THey need to know they are there. I think most will get them if they are part of the cost or at least at the gate.

Just some thoughts.

To me, this is important. After meeting all those members last year, there were too many poeple I talked to or saw that I never remembered who it was. A nametag would have went a LONG way to remembering that. Or even knowing that. I had a number of times I mentioned to people on here later that "Too bad we didn't meet at the fest... Maybe next time" ...Only to hear them say "Dude..... I bought you a beer"

i've been thinking for a while name badges would make sense. But i don't think the Fest needs to provide them.

Meaning what?

If we dont' provide them, there won't be any. Very few people will have their own.

If your vote is not to incorperate the cost in the price, that fair enough. But if we get enough members on board to pitch in to make it happen, then why not?

Well, if we can get a sponsor to pay for the cards, we won't have to incorporate the price into the cost of the fest. In fact, adding to the cost of the fest at this point might not be a good idea. Sure, it would cover it for everyone, but some folks might not care to have one.

We are already looking into getting a larger bulk quantity of lanyards. We can pick up 500 of them for a smaller cost due to buying them in bulk. The plastic card holders that we have right now are 3.6 inches by 4 inches. They won't fit the size ya'll want to do. So, we'll have to figure out holders for them as well.

I can order the 500 lanyards now. I can have them ready to go at the Camaro5 tent (which will be much easier to find this year) and as people come in, can pick them up.

...unless a sponsor wants to get with us to get their info/name on the badge and pay for the lanyards/card stock. You know what? That gives me an idea...

I need to contact a few people and see if we can work something out... I ....have....an ....idea. .....
