230rwhp and 216 ft/lbs tq gain on 2013 ZL1!

Hey all, just wanted to share a sweet build we wrapped up today.

2013 Manual ZL1, came in at 536 rwhp & 521 ft/lbs tq (he already had a cold air intake and a larger bottom pulley, no tuning). He was looking to pick up a lot more power, and also do a few exterior modifications to change the look of the car.

While we knew we wanted to go big on this build, we were not willing to sacrifice any driveability. Tame drivers with great low and mid range power are important to us, and this build was nothing different in that department. We used our ZL-Win cam, which is a 221/243 .60x/.62x cam on a 116 LSA. We also sent off the LSA cylinder heads to none other than Phil at Advanced Induction, for his full port & polish work, and to be topped off with a set of Brian Tooley Platinum valve springs. We went with our usual Kooks header set up - as they consistently perform as expected, and fit very well also. To help out with a few more horses, we also utilized a VMAX ported and polished throttle body.

We also added a larger crank pulley, and the 10 bolt interchangeable hub on the blower snout with a 2.55" upper. This, like just about every other ZL we've seen, already had the issue where the stock damper spring was biting in, so we replaced that with Lingenfelter's solid coupling. We also swapped out the cold air intake that he had for a Roto Fab.

Also, we picked up Lingenfelter's massive heat exchanger, with fans - and also a larger reservoir. These items were very big in keeping the IAT's nice and cool, he'll really need that come summertime as it gets pretty darn hot here.

We also lowered it 1" while it was here, with BMR springs. Very nice riding car. Looks-wise, we added some goodies from Oracle. He wanted the colorshift Halos, and also some front grille lighting and under hood lighting. Topped it off with a lighted rear bowtie which looked pretty neat IMO.

He also wanted to add gauges, so I used my go-to Autometers, wideband & boost. We also did another one right above the steering column, along with a raptor shift light.

Our final results were 761 rwhp & 737 ft/lbs tq. Not bad for a car that drives like a stocker.

Sounds sweet...Your customer should have spent some more $ and bought some pistons...It's just a matter of time before it eats one...Sorry, it's just the truth...

Yep, that is the Kooks system with cats, I did have the exhaust fuse pulled in that video. I'll send you a PM on pricing!

I don't believe that at all. It's a very comfortable set up timing & IAT wise.
