No more Inferno Orange... How many total made?
So no more Inferno Orange after 2013?
How many did they build total in 2013? How many 2SS/RS builds were there? |

Bummer. Funny thing, when I ordered mine, I never expected so many to want Orange. Then it was the 2010 Indy 500 pace car color. And here I thought I would be one of only a few. But still love the color.

I almost bought one. Was basically on my way. Had arranged a one way car rental for the 8 hour trip when I decided to do one more internet search and found this black one two hours from me and no dealer premium. I love my car, would have loved it in any other color too.
One thing about the black is it hides all the special ZL1 stuff to non Camaro people, so they know they're looking at something, but they don't usually know what. Gets a lot of attention that way.

For me it was orange or nothing, which is partly why I got the 2013 as cancelling the color forced my hand.
It's funny but down here (New Zealand) you don't see that many orange ones, lots of Yellow/Black though. |

Would never have any other color. In a few years, will be looking for a well taken care of IOM ZL1 to add to the garage.

I got mine (again!)
I ordered my first one as a R6P pre-order car when you couldn't even see one. When I heard there was an orange comparable to Hugger, but modern, for me there was no other choice. A buddy had a '69 Hugger orange Camaro in high school and I always loved that car.
I've ended up trading to a 2013 but went right back to orange. I, too, thought I would be one of few until they marched out 50 early-build cars for a parade in Dallas, TX back in 2009 while I was waiting! LOL I have loved many of the colors but no regrets on my choices. True story: a good friend of mine also bought an R6P blass 2SS/RS from our local small town dealer. When he went to upgrade to a 2011 convertible he tried to order IOM. The dealer told him he would have to pre-pay because if it came in and he changed his mind they would never be able to sell it. I guess they had a 2010 dealer stock IOM car that they finally auctioned after 7 months at a loss. I just watched a 2013 IOM 2SS/RS LS3 car sit on a local lot for what had to be a year. It was a twin to my car with the heritage grille, polished wheels, and a couple of other dealer adds. They seem to struggle finding the right a$$ for the orange seat but they sure made a lot of them. Perhaps the IOM customer is typically enough of an enthusiast that they prefer to order? |

I like the way you think. I'm gonna try and add an IOM c6z in the next couple of years. Think it would be sweet to have two cars the same color.
