Yessss... again with the USB interface battles...

What version do you have in your Camaro?

What year is your Camaro?

I have CC/CE in my 2010... and I have complained about problems since day one. But I know for a fact that there are some newer models that run different hardware and software and don't have any of these problems that I've been having.

The BIG problem is that GM was aware of these issues, and they fixed it with new hardware and software for the new models, but never issued any bulletins giving dealers info on what to do to fix it.

1 - Plug in your USB device (IPOD, IPHONE, ZUNE, FLASH DRIVE)

2 - Press and hold the MENU button. Your HW and SW version will show up on the display screen after a few seconds.

Personally I believe the powers that be (GM) just simply said screw the people with the older buggy barely functioning hardware.

Something I definitely will remember in the future.

Why is it such a struggle (as a customer) to get this fixed? Why can't the dealers troubleshoot and figure it out on their own? I went down to the dealer with the FIX in hand... but it still hasn't been performed yet.

2010 1SS with add on PDIM

CC/CE

I use two devices:

iPod Touch iOS 4.1 - Used to get static noise but did a battery disconnect and the static is gone. Remaining issues are random "Supported Data Not Found" errors and the the radio/PDIM not displaying the MP3 info correctly (Artists/Titles)

USB drives - The radio/PDIM will randomly get stuck in an indexing loop

They simply do not care. Unless someone is making a big stink about it on the news, car companies really do not give a shit. Most of them have knowledge about systems that are faulty that can and have caused deaths but wont lift a finger till they start to get slammed in the media, so i know our pdim issue is at the bottom of the list. Unfortunately.

I only use my iPod Touch and no other devices. I can pretty much tell when it's going to eff up ("Searching for Devices" and then it disconnects and goes to the radio source), so I already know that I have to switch sources before it happens.

I assume you havent seen the other PDIM threads.. I talked to the GM people personally, they made a fix and pushed it out.. waiting on the TSB now.

2011 November built, for last week everything was working perfectly. but today the iphone (iPod) didnt work somehow was bugged for half of the day. the Device was recognized i can see all songs/lists...etc and when i play anything there is no sound at all like it was muted or something XM was working thou!! kindasucks

DB/DB? - That's a new one. Who knows what problems it's "supposed" to fix. I know that DA/DX performs well for my purposes. But I have yet to load more than 1400 files on a flash drive to see if it has any problems. I ordered a larger flash drive and should be receiving it shortly... will be testing the "10,000 song" limit... or somewhere near it. I listen to some pretty high bitrate mp3's, so I don't think I'd be able to squeeze 10,000 songs on a drive much smaller than 64GB.

I had CC/CE til it completely stopped working. Printed a cpl threads from the various option here in the forum and they upgraded me to DA/DX. Told me they replaced the Radio Interface Module to correct my problems. Not sure what they actually did but i have no issues at this time. And i have the BA system.
