I did this:

2 long skinny toggle bolts & washers. The bracket can mount on the lower grill.

11 Camaro IBM, WHATEVER YA DO......BEFORE your car arrives.....you go to your salesman and pin him down......and tell him SPECEFICALLY....UNDER NO CIRUMSTNACES IS HE OR ANY OTHER PERSON AT THE DEALERSHIP TO TOUCH YOUR CAR, have them back it up off the truck, and park it!! THAT IS.....or you can bet your last nickel the the WASH BOYS will screw up your finish AND they wull most likely install your front plate holder, which you know will involve drilling holes in YOUR NEW CAR.

This is what I did too. Make sure to put some foam behind the bracket so it doesnt scratch the bumper. I didn't put enough in some spots and there are some light scratches, but it definitely beats having holes in the bumper!

Because our idiot State Legislators apparently not! I wouldn't try to fight a no plate ticket but I sure as hell will fight a no front plate ticket in Texas as of this ruling or lack of.

How credible is this website? I'm weary of stuff I read on .com sites and this article references another website called Thenewspaper.com... I would expect a website puts up claims about legal issues to at least cite legal documents with links to them.

Either way if its true then I'm pretty sure this is why I've not been pulled over yet lol. I still have my back plate on but my front plate has been covered with paperwork in the glovebox Jan 2010. BUT my friend in a 2010 mustang GT actually did get pulled over for no front plate a few months ago. He got the ticket dismissed by sticking the plate on with double stick tape and taking a pic of it. He showed the pic to the judge and it was tossed out. I told him he got pulled over because the cops hate his car and are too busy checking mine out to realize my plate's not on loool.

mmmmm. not sure about that. but i never put the front plate since '11 summer and never got ticket bcs of that thing, what i got is parking ticket. lol

wait until you get caught and then deal with it after that. It is not a moving violation and is only a "fix-it" ticket.
