i haven't noticed much but it was fairly cool yesterday as well. I think the most it got was 50* out. Also the methanol injection pretty much kills any heat production, especially at the boost level i'm running.

First runs

I got to play with Cam this week end. The wife and I took him out to the Drag Strip and made some runs. The first run with traction control on and going though some slight spin and wheel hop it ran a 12.81 (see ET slip). After that run I took the traction control off and put it into Sport Mode. The tune up has traction control at about 30% on the 1-2 shift and 50% for the rest of the shifts. I did not hold it against the converter for either run as I was afraid to spin the tires and blow the run. With the traction control off and in Sport Mode it ran a 12.66 ET at 110.88. It spun pretty good in first and shook a bit on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. With a set of Drag radials it will go 12.50 at 112mph with no problems at all. I wasted four other runs with spin and shake all the way through first and second even when I tried to pedal it. Trying to hook up on Street tires is a real Bitc#.

As for heat soak, not really much that I have noticed. My car actually runs best on the second of back to back runs. The third pass the tires feel like they are greasy. first pass feels the best but is always off by .2 its probably me.

Sacramento has a "KNOWN" problem with it's timers that will give you 2-6 MPH more than you actually have (reads high), depending on how fast your car is. So you need to subtract at least 2 MPH........SORRY.

PS: If I need to, I will demonstrate to you.

Took mine out on a back road in the country today. It was a fairly bumpy road and I had a full tank of fuel. My car is bone stock (except for the window tint). It is an L99 with 800 miles on it. I sent the read out from my iphone to my computer and then posted it here. This was the best of four runs. Stability and traction control off and launching at 2500 RPM.
