I agree. Somehow I always wind up behind these people on the way home from work, while I have the people who want to go 20 over behind me any other time. Go figure.

It's the same in England. The only reason I can think of is, that we have so many automatic speed cameras. Folks just go at the minimum speed limit, saving them from getting a ticket, rather than looking at the road signs advising higher limits, and adjusting their speed accordingly.

There's actually a perfectly logical explanation for this phenomenon:

You think everyone on the road is going too slow in front of you or too fast behind you but the truth is that it just seems that way because everyone that is going a "sensible" speed (ie: same speed as you) is either STAYING in front of you or STAYING behind you so you never MEET them. All you meet are the pokies and the crazies.

Driving would be much safer if EVERYONE went the SAME SPEED! Plus - you'd feel like you were the only person on the road....

Happens around here all the time. The slow cars in the fast lane, the zero to 55 in 10 minutes or more crowd, rubber neckers looking at everything BUT the road, and of course my fav. The ones that see you coming, inch forward and stop, inch forward some more then wait 'till you get real close before pulling out in front of you to go 100 yards and come to just about a complete stop in the lane to make a turn.

That would be fine except they run in the fast lane instead of right lane...
