opinion wanted ?

I ordered a yellow 2SS 1LE with nav and the performance exhaust..... I liked the way the Racarro seats looked but when i got in one it felt to tight on my back . I lift allot and i where a 3x shirt my wast is a 38 and i go 240lb so the seats where not for me . My question is . Is there any big guys out there that have them ? and if they do . What do you think about them after riding in them on a regular bases ?

I'm 6'1" 235 and workout lots too. They fit and feel amazing. I know the first time I tried them I wasn't sure but now I cant imagine not getting them. If I could only get 2 options it would be the Recaro seats and NPP.

Get the recaros, trade a member for his regular seats, and some additional cash in your pocket.

(Which reminds me to check if this has been done yet.)

I AGREE.... I like you didn't like them due to my wide shoulders and wide a** but mainly it didn't fit my shoulders. I tried to like them, because I love the look. I just wasn't going to toss 2K into an option I didn't want... Plus it seems you never get out of them what you got into them.

I'm 6-2 and 230#. I drive my car 62 miles one way to work each day. At first, mthe Racarro's were a little uncomfortable around my lower sides... but used to it now and don't even notice.
I'm not sure if the Racarro's cause me to sit higher in the car than standard seats, but I really don't have enough head room in the car even with the seats fully lowered. Especially pronounced when I'm racing and wearing a helmet. I've got to lean the seat way back to fit into the car and it's not my best driving position. They are also a bit difficult to get in and out of because of the high bolsters, and I worry I'm "scuffing" the leather each time and that it will wear soon.

All that being said, I wouldn't trade them. I love the way they look in the car and there are several aspects of any sports car that are a compromise with total comfort.

I am 5'10" at 240lbs. I find the recaros to be as comfortable as any other seats I had. My car was on the lot as equipped, I dont think I would have otherwise spent the 2K for them otherwise. They are slightly harder to get in and out of than regular seatings. Once in they are good!

A bit off topic, when did you order your 1LE? Within the last few days?

I have the Recaro seats and I am 6' at 265 It is a tight fit, but they feel good. If I was any bigger the seats would not work for me.

I am not as big as you upper body wise but I'm 6' and I tried the recaros and at first I thought I would get them installed in my car for sure but after sitting in them I will pass. They just didn't feel much better than the stock seats to me and I will be getting a 5 pt harness anyways so I'm not worried about sliding around in my seat. (But I also have a 1SS with fabric seats which are a little bit "stickier" than leather for driving "sportingly".) Since you have ordered a 2SS, you might consider the leather too because you "will" slide in the standard seats unless you have a harness, CG lock, or the recaros, if you plan on driving on a track (or like you are on a track).
