I would think not as bad as you think. a gain like that in my ls1 only lost me about 1-1.5 mpg

and its ok to worry about mpg. But the biggest mod that effects mpg is how far you push that little skinny peddal on the right of the floorboard

I knew somebody would reply along those lines.

I agree with you too. BUT, with an SS I dont think i'm in the wrong class to worry about gas mileage. Now if it was a GT500, a vette, or something with a supercharger, then I would certainly say I am in too far over my head to worry about gas.
You are also fairly right about swapping a cam. After that point your right to b!tch about gas mileage goes down dramatically.

HOWEVER,

IF all the above does not hinder mpg too badly, then swapping a cam may actually interest me. Right now I dont think I want to go that far with it, but I'm on the fence, which is why I ask the stupid questions.

I've always been the big tire off road type. So 10mpg is all I've ever known. I've always wanted the muscle car, and theres nothing wrong with wanting to finally start getting decent gas mileage.

Not bad HP numbers.

What is the tq graph scaled at, because it seems to be lacking on the low end.

We do have a custom ground cam for an auto but it will need a stall. It might not make the same power going through the auto but would out run it

As far as mpg goes I couldn't tell you if we lost any we dont know what mpg it got stock and now we cant keep our feet out of it. Don't be fooled we built a 1000hp GT500 that gets 33mpg cruising down the Highway

Still, excellent numbers!
But with a motorcycle it's considered a bolt on if there isn't any lifter or valve mods that need done too, it's just way more labor intense with a carf!
