what color t tap for footwell lights

what gage wire is the gray wire you tap into for the footwell lights,trying to figure out what size t tap do I need 14-16 or 18 gage tap

You don't have to tap in to any wires. There is a fuse you can connect to. And your able to dim the footwell lights with it with the dimmer on the dash next to the steering wheel. I found this out by complete luck. I was looking for a fuse that turnes on the footwell when the key is on then when I dimmed my dash lights the footwell lights I put on dimmed too.
