new costum painted stripes
I just got my stripes costum painted because vinal stripes could not handle the curves of my new hood. I also got them to paint the tail light bazzles to match.

Looking through all 8 pages in this thread so far, can't say I'd noticed any IOM with CGM stripes... so here are mine, including my new matching bow ties as well. You can see how different they look depending how the light hits them, from bluey grey to grey to silver to black!:

I know since these are being painted I can do whatever I want in any dimension I want, but I really just like the exact look of the factory stripes so I want to match them exactly.

I feel and think the same as you. I think the OEM dimensions / layout really accent the lines / contour of the hood.

If I can not find a template of the OEM rally stripes, I have considered buying a set of OEM stripes and using them only as a template. After using them, could sell them in the classified section because they would be unharmed.

I had a 69 and loved the colors!! When I saw my car, at the dealership, in Sept, in orange with white... I HAD to have it... GM Historical says my car was 1 of 207 with factory white stripes......

I must admit I don't "care for" the 2 stripes over the car Looks- ah- hmm- like a FORD

So all of these stripes look Fabulous, I have a VR with Matte Vinyl, I am considering getting them painted on, what is a fair price for a Great Stripe Job?...... also considering getting the entire Hood painted black with a matte clear.... any thoughts.

Ok so I have a SIM camaro with black vinyl ralley stripes installed at the dealership. I was thinking of using these stripes here on the side in black also. what do y'all think?

Autoguy- those are actually more to my liking than the original ones I found! thanks alot!

I actually was not even at that point in my planning, I was going to order them and possibly find a shop to apply them for me.
