The reason is that alot of us love how the original factory stripes look,but do not like vinyl.

Ok, agreed.. thread doesn't say anything about custom stripes, just thought some would go out and make their stripes their own... instead of just painting on what GM and every vinyl company already has in vinyl (Factory stripes = meh)... but I guess I have to start that (with exception of Lupe)... stay tuned.

Got my Rally Stripes, Hockey Stripes, & Gills installed today.

I ordered the 3 stripe packages from Dave @ Big Worm Motor Sports www.bigwormmotorsports.com. Dave was awesome at customer support, answered all my questions, and delivered everything in 3 business days.

Then I called Rodger's Chevrolet near Detroit, and got an installer by the name of John to put my stripes on.

I am very happy with my flat black color decision on top of my CGM 2010 Camaro.

I agree, which is why I decided against getting them but I hadn't considered coming up with something creative as you have suggested. I want my car to stand out and be original if I'm going to modify it. Looking forward to seeing your pics!

Because sometimes simpler is better. I don't want tacky skulls and crap on my Camaro.

Question has anyone taken the strips off after a few years? How did the paint look? Could you see any difference due to wear or fading?

I had some on my HHR that i put on right after getting it, three years later i took them off and the paint was still fine and you could not tell where the stripes were. and it is orange. hopefully when My stripes on the yellow camaro start going bad i will not have a problem, but it does not matter if it does i will just have them painted on this time and cover the difference in the paint.
