Purchased my third Convertible Yesterday - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Debated whether to post this in the ZL1 forum or here. Since this is my 3rd Camaro convertible purchase in less than two years, this seemed the most appropriate forum.

It all started in May 2011 when I purchased a 2SS convertible with automatic. A year ago almost to the day I traded that in for a 2012 2SS convertible with manual transmission. And yesterday the 2012 was traded in for a 2013 ZL1. All three convertibles were/are victory red (guess it shows I like that color).

I promised my wife the ZL1 would be my last Camaro purchase for awhile. Of course I told her the same thing after I purchased the other two.

I'll probably do some small cosmetic mods (black out the tail light bezels and front and back bowties). Definitely won't do as much mechanical mods as I did on the 2012. I spent the two days prior to purchasing the ZL1 putting the '12 back to factory as much as possible. Ended up eating the cat back exhaust (didn't keep the factory one due to lack of storage space) and Razzi front air damn.

With my track record for trading in these cars, heavy modification does not make a whole lot of economical sense right now.

Nice ride! Don't feel bad about your many trades. I buy and trade cars all of the time, sometimes within 4 months. So enjoy that ride for as long as you have it.
