They just announced that the X Files will return to TV, starring Duchoveney and Anderson as Mulder and Scully...

When they announced that a beloved Fox TV series would be returning after 13 years, I was hoping it was Firefly...

Especially after that last X Files movie, what a stink pickle!

I just saw that also. Hope it gets picked up for the whole season. I see it is for 6 episodes to begin with, then go from there if it pulls in the audience/ratings

I have done my best over these last few years to try to forget and put it behind me, but I still wake up screaming....

I used to love that show, and I actually liked the movie lol. I didn't know there was more than one

The first movie was called "Fight the Future" and came out like season 5ish. It was much better than the "I Want to Believe" movie that came out after the series ended.

It was my favorite show as a teenager! So stoked we get Duchovny and Anderson back for this too.

So for those of you who don't know, the second "movie" was called I Want To Believe.
It was released upon the public in 2008, like a resurgence of the Bubonic Plague.
I would attempt to mathematically describe how truly awful this "movie" was, but numbers do not go that high.

Basically, there is this evil psychotic gay Russian doctor who is trying to keep his boyfriend alive by transplanting his head onto other people's bodies. He also has a 2 headed dog that he built because- reasons. Oh, and we also find out that Mulder and Scully did finally get together, but then split because their kid died or some such nonsense.
Have you veer seen Raiders of the Lost Ark?
Remember at the end when the Nazis open the ark?
That is what will happen to your brain if you watch this movie- just follow the advice of Dr. Jones, and keep your eyes shut, not matter what.

I guess since Duchoveney is done with Californication he needed something else to do. I liked the old X Files so let's hope this is good.
