I joined a month ago or so, but I never properly introduced myself. I have been following this site for about 2 years now. It started as an on and off following. Then in the past year I started to visit the forums regularly and such. Now I finally joined since my time of getting a Gen5 is closer. I have about a year of college left. I told myself I wouldn't trade or buy one until I graduated and got myself going. So in the meantime I am saving up for one. I don't know which one I will get though, lol. I posted another thread in a different section about which to get based on engine. Link. So just wanted to say hi and love this forum. Love all the info here too, I find something new everyday as well as I am find something to read constantly on here.

My first car was a 1991 Buick Riviera, then I got a 2005 Malibu Classic, and now I own a 2009 Malibu LTZ with the I4.

Well after today my choice was made for me by my car acting up a 4th time in one year for the same thing. I am now in the car shopping market. I cannot currently afford a SS so I am looking at V6's. Today was the last straw with my Malibu. I love the car to death, but it is now an inconvenience and a money pit in about 2k miles when bumper to bumper warranty ends.

Just gotta decide which trim level and 2011 or 2012. I am looking to buy a car within the next month. Also, I have a budget and can only afford so much. I am lucky in that my car is worth more than what I owe on it.

I am hoping to get a 1LT RS.

I cannot afford a SS currently with the insurance, MPG, etc.

Thanks! Will be getting one within the next month. Either a 2011 or 2012 LT with a RS package. The Dealer's General Manager called me and is he not happy about what has happened with my car. He is going out of his way to make this right and get me a different car.
