Deposit? Order?

So my dealer doesnt seem like one to communicate with me whats going on but i left without an order number...didnt know at the time i should? But i paid the deposit with a debit card and it seems to have been cleared...is it possible that that meant they put the order in?

nope, that means they took your money! Seriously, the order goes in when the dealership gets their allocation to do so. It could be days, weeks or months. So sit back and enjoy the ride!!

Go back and get a copy of your WorkBench form, then at least you have that number for reference purposes.

can you be more specific about the workbench looks like or what it has on it...is it a summury of your vehicle?

you have to call them and ask them for the order number. if they input it in then it will give one out.

A lot of dealers are doing this; if there is a waiting list for allocations, some are saving them as "saved vehicle configurations" and not submitting until they actually get an allocation. (this hurts you because you are not price protected)

It lists the car type and configuration along with any option you chose.
It will have an order number on the first page as long as the order was submitted.
If there is no order number than your dealer is holding it for allocation.

Sounds like you got an uneducated and unwilling dealer. Little info at the beginning is a warning for little to no information while you wait.

As I say, REGARDLESS who you buy from, you need to be able to TRUST the dealer who takes your money. If you don't, find another dealer.

you should get an order number automatically. You will then be at a 1100 status which means your order processed in the system, nothing more. I would think most dealers would give you an order number or workbench copy.

he gave me a worckbench copy with all the pricing and codes for what i ordered but i think he stopped short. Looks like he just game me Configure a new vehicle: summary , workbench form

I know what you mean, to be honest at first I didnt trust my dealer at all. I felt weird and isolated in there, being a ford guy I alreayd knew everyone over at the ford dealer and they knew me after my family purchasing well alot of vehicules.

My family owns an armored truck factory and we use Ford F-250 thru 450, we purchase around 20-40 each month. So I have pull there I guess more than anything I missed having that influence and the special threatment.

Well now after witnessing the first customer take delivery for MSRP after the other only dealer in my area wants 10k over MSRP for their first delivery, I guess Im more at ease especially since moving up to 3000 last week.

To think at some point I was about to go to the other dealer. lol
