The 2SS has leather heated seats and the 1SS does not.
Which is yours?

I went with the 2SS because I wanted heated leather seats, and some of the extra goodies that came with the package. I also wanted an automatic because I like the idea of relaxing when I want, and playing when I want. I also threw in the RS Package because I liked the wheels and head lights.

Like the others said, it all comes down to what is important to you.

He wanted to know if it was worth buying the Boston system to replace the factory one in the 1SS..

I'm going to go with a 1SS.. Mine isn't going to be a daily driver, be lucky to get 3,000 miles a year on it.. I'm personally into the vintage bare minimum, looks good and goes fast.. Just my personal preference though..

I'm coming to the same conclusion for the same reasons... I'm willing to give it until July or August for a < 30K 1SS too.

I will probably put around 4,000ish miles a year on my Camaro, and it will be my toy. That's why I ordered it with all the goodies, because I want to be spoiled when I do drive it. But I do see your side of it too.

get a stick. You may regret getting an auto. You won't regret the manual. It may be inconvenient at times but it's better than wishing you had gotten it. Like me. I'm trading in mine. I've got a new one on order.

Get what you want the first time period, it will save you money and headache in the long run. I have had to learn that lesson too many times myself with many things.

Not sure I would call some of the features needless gadgets. Being able to use and iPod to listen to music is a really nice feature that I use everyday, so is the BlueTooth for hands free calling. I also think the Boston Acoustics is a must have and the leather seats are a really nice touch.

Once you are looking at paying $31k, I think it is crazy not to spend another $3k to get all the extras that make the experience that much more enjoyable. Just my opinion though, to each their own.
