Bad FPCM
Good Morning Everyone,
I think I might have a bad FPCM, and I was hoping that someone could tell me how to test it? People have mentioned running a straight hot wire to the pump bypassing the FPCM to see if the car would start. What is the best way to do that if thats a good way to test it? I will probably end up ordering a ADM FPCM anyways since the original shop which installed these mods used the stock one. Mod List: Magnacharger 2300 Custom Cam Kit 89lb injectors Twin Intake pump Cogs rear pulley 10lbs of boost.

If something is wrong you should have a code, and you should double check all the fuses. You can also probe the harness for power and ground feeding the FPCM. Ted.

Thank you for the reply Ted! I wish there was a shop like yours in Tulsa. You have a great reputation! I am throwing no codes (At least no CEL), and yeah the straight line did not seem like a good idea, I wanted to check with you guys here on the forum first. I have checked the fuses and they all checked out. I rented a voltage meter and tried my best to test the power and ground going into the pump and into the FPCM. no power reading to the pump, and got a power reading to the FPCM. This is what makes me believe it is the FPCM. If I tested them correctly.

The computer commands the FPCM to operate the pump via a Hz signal. You may not be able to measure that with a standard volt meter or test light. Ted.

Ahh I see, what would you recommend I do? Do you run the stock FPCM on your builds of this power level?
