Camaro Survey Results

I searched for this but couldn't find it on this forum so I thought I'd post it. These are the results of a magazine-administered survey for what people want in the Camaro. It might provide some enlightenment/ideas regarding possible trim levels, packages, and colors. I found it on the Mid-Atlantic Camaro Club's website.

If it's already been posted or proven obsolete somewhere, I apologize.

So far almost everything I wanted was a majority picked aside from a few things.

I'm really happy about leather with body matching houndstooth being a favorite. I really liked that about the concept vert's interior.

If those options were offered (minus engine names/numbers i.e. LS2), I'd get the SS427/RS Vert with Artic White/Orange stripes with the leather/houndstooth orange inserts. base price around 22k, which would put my ideal camaro at around 36-38 before tax/license/registration. that's a few more grand than I want to spend, but I'd find a way.

That's if the whole pay "less than" options would be true.

I would want that Z28 they mentioned, though I don't expect to see a 5.3L engine in the new Camaro. I could see it with the L76 though

Very good find. I love how the SS350 package can be combined with the RS package. That's what I'll be shooting for. Love those hidden headlights.

Great post. I remember filling this survey out in Hot Rod mag about a year ago.

I love how the people who took the survey wanted everything for dirt cheap. but they wanted the best parts available. Something has to give. You can't get an SS350 for $3.50. Notice how many voted for a paddle-shift auto.

I'm more surprised how many people voted for only a 4 speed automatic. Does GM's finance department subscribe to Hot Rod? Wow. Of course if you give people a survey they'll tell you they want everything for dirt cheap. Do you really think anyone would volunteer the information that they would really pay much more for something?

I picked up the issue with the survey, but by the time I bought it the submissions were already due.

Who the heck would want a four speed auto' when there is a six speed (theoretically) available?

I hope whichever "super" Camaro certainly doesn't cost another $20K!!!

I like the idea of a paddle shifter but its not for the Camaro, just give me a short throw 6 speed. That will work for me. Now how long do we have to wait until GM officially announces all of the options. Just tell us already.
